Oasis Charitable Trust has been formed out of the strong conviction and commitment of a philanthropist couple from Kerala, now settled in Delhi while doing voluntary work for the last several years. By opting out to serve the poor, they had taken the most difficult decision in their life, but decided to set an example for others to follow. Through their decision, they wanted to make a distinct identity for themselves from most of their acquaintances who struggle a lot in pursuit of the worldly happiness and material well beings.

       In the yesteryears, before the formation of OCT, its promoters did a lot of humanitarian work among the poor and marginalized people living in the most difficult circumstances from different areas. Since they were not after money or fame they never felt it necessary to do the activities in a formalized or organized manner. But due to the constant demand from the target people for delivery of more services and by heeding to the advice of some benefactors to make their endeavors more efficient, the trust was formed on October 2006.
